A young lady complained of low back pain radiating to her right leg. It was very severe and she had difficulty in walking, standing, sitting and even lying down. Her sleep was affected as she had severe pain while turning sides on the bed. She could not carry out with her normal activities and she was extremely anxious.
Examination revealed that she had no neurological deficits, but she was unable to even lift her right leg. There was tenderness in her low back and her right buttock.
This young lady had myofascial pain of her low back and she responded well with simple painkillers, cold packs and a couple of sessions of dry needling.
